Over the past few years facial oils have become incredibly popular and it seems every skincare range now has at least one in their line - and rightly so. Using oils to treat skin concerns or to moisturize can, in most cases, be more effect than creams. I do like to suggest to all my clients that, unless you have very oily skin, you should still layer a moisturizer over the top of your facial oil, and if not a moisturizer, at least an SPF (and really only if you live somewhere so hot that your skincare turns into a puddle at the base of your neck as soon as you step outside - like me from June to December here in LA).
Due to the vast amount of amazing oils on the market, I have listed multiple options per category below (slightly different than the previous lists).
Vintner's Daughter Active Botanical Serum
Organic, Luxury $$$$
Made with twenty-two organic and wildcrafted actives, this oil is jam packed with vitamins and minerals, addressing aging and pigmentation, promoting cell turnover, oxygenating the skin, strengthening capillaries, kicking Free Radical butt and it's made in my home town!
Works for any skin type in need of a little tightening here and a little lightening there.

A beautiful alternative to Vintner's Daughter would be an oil serum from Sodashi, a natural luxury brand from Australia. Their Samadara Ultimate Age Defy Elixir ($$$$) reduces pigmentation and refines pores, while lifting and firming the skin. It also comes with rose quartz crystals to push the oil deeper into the skin.
Lastly- something slightly less expensive, Eminence's Rosehip Triple C and E Firming Oil ($$$) This natural blend brightens and firms while reducing redness and irritation. Its non-greasy formula absorbs effortlessly into even the oiliest of skin.
Oils for Sensitive Skin
ISUN's Sapphire Oil
Organic, Specialty $$
One of my favorite oils of all time, this artisanal blend of herb-infused and essential oils soothes, calms, and moisturizes the skin while protecting it from environmental stressors. It's scent is rich and sweet with sandalwood, jasmine and bergamot.
A little side note about the brand: While the oils are being infused with herbs and gemstones, they are also being sung and talked to. Wellness rituals are held before anyone can come in contact with the oils during formulation. It might seem silly, but I've done side by side comparisons of Isun versus other oils; and the hand with an Isun oil on it seems to vibrate. Try it for yourself.
Good for all skin types in need of calming soothing moisture.
